I got to head down to DC two times in the last week and see some old Hershey Bears and some up and coming guys.
Now if you want a post with words about the whole week, head over to RMNB.
But for photos, stay with me for now.
Well were closing in on the big day. Yes, June 3rd, a.k.a. game one of the Calder Cup Finals!! Now I bet you all have who will win in how many (most of them are probably Hershey winning in 5+ games). Now if you want to know who I think will win and in how many, well you might need some time to hear what I think.
With the little we know on Texas these are really just “Go With Your Gut” guesses, but you never know
I know I haven’t been posting a lot lately, I’ve been working with a lot Russian Machine Never Breaks lately. If you get a chance jump on over to them and say “Hi” to all the guys. There is some great work over there. But in my time since then the Bears have made it to the Calder Cup Finals! Between them ending the R-Rats for good, and taking the first 2 game with one of them having the amazing Christopher Bourque score an OT winner, and THEN Boyd Kane’s OT winner in game 6 to send them to the Calder Cup Finals for the 4th time in 5 years. Now all we had to do is wait.
Well here we go all o
ver again. The Hershey Bears are going to the Calder Cup conference finals…again. Chris Bourque came out to start this game with only two goals and ten points, he ended with 15 points and four goals. Bourque who scored 8:23 into the first and 0:59 into the second was the #1 star. Albany would start the third period with a lead of 4-2. Alexandre Giroux cut the Rats lead to one with just over three minutes left in the third. Hershey would score again in the third period on a goal by Matthew Perrault to tie the game and go into overtime. Perrault would scored again at 2:23 of the overtime to sweep the Rats and end the Albany River Rats franchise as they move to Charlotte, North Carolina and become the Charlotte Checkers. Hershey will no have a week, maybe two, with out an opponent as they wait on the Worcester-Manchester series to end as they will be going to the East Conference Finals for the fourth time in five years.
